Applications submitted January 3, 2018 to Present - selection cycle

 
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is currently accepting applications for State Police Cadet until 11:59 pm on June 30, 2018.  Online applications must be completed and accepted prior to the 11:59 pm deadline on June 30, 2018 in order to be considered for written testing in August 2018.  Applications received after 11:59 pm on June 30th will be held for consideration for the 6013 selection cycle, beginning on July 1, 2018.
At the end of the application period, qualified applicants for the position of PSP Cadet will be notified via email, with instructions on how to register with SCSC to take the entry-level law enforcement examination.  Others who attempt to register with SCSC, who have not been pre-qualified by PSP, will be denied.
 
The entry-level law enforcement examination for the position of Cadet is scheduled from Monday, August 6, 2018 through Saturday, August 18, 2018. The test will be administered by the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission (SCSC) at its computer-based testing centers, as well as a one-day administration at John Jay College in New York City on Monday, August 13, 2018.
Since qualified candidates will receive instructions by email, it is important that contact information is current.  To update contact information, candidates may log back into the application using their email address and password.

Applications submitted January 3, 2017 to January 2, 2018 – selection cycle 6011
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) entry-level law enforcement written examination for the position of Cadet was administered between January 29 and February 10, 2018; and oral examinations for those candidates who achieved a passing score on the written test, were conducted on March 2, 2018 through March 6, 2018, and have concluded. 
Oral examination results and final list rankings notices were sent via email from ra-entrylevelexam@pa.gov on March 30, 2018. Oral Examination results and final list rankings are not available online.  Candidates should check their “junk” or “spam” folders prior to emailing ra-entrylevelexam@pa.gov. 
The PSP contacted candidates ranked between 1 and 400 on the 6011 eligibility list for further processing.  Additional applicants from the 6011 eligibility list may be invited for further processing in rank order, according to the needs of the Department.  The 6011 eligibility list will be rescinded upon publication of the 6012 eligibility list.  Candidates from the 6011 selection cycle who have not undergone background investigation when the eligibility list is rescinded will not be processed.  To be considered for future eligibility lists, applicants are required to submit a new application.
Since qualified candidates receive communications by email, it is important that contact information is current.  To update contact information, candidates may log back into the application using their email address and password. Candidates should also contact the Public Safety Human Resource Delivery Center with updated information at ra-entrylevelexam@pa.gov.

Applications submitted July 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 – selection cycle 6010
The 6010 eligibility list has now been superseded by the 6011 eligibility list.  Candidates from the 6010 selection cycle who have not undergone background investigation will not be processed.  To be considered for future eligibility lists, applicants are required to submit a new application.
 
Candidates from the 6010 selection cycle who underwent background investigation will continue to process until appointed to a Cadet class or disqualified.
