BASIC HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

 

Course Description: This course is designed for members and supervisors assigned to criminal investigation units who have not previously attended this training. The purpose of the course is to provide a framework of general instruction and guidance in homicide investigation through classroom instruction and a crime scene practicum. Topics include: initial response, search warrants, forensic crime scene investigation, autopsy/pathology, and crime scene assessments.

Additional Information: The course will provide competent instruction, education, and direction for structured, responsible investigations. Handout materials will be provided for various topics covered.

Registration: Please register for the classes below using form SP 8-130. All applications must be received 7 days prior to the course start date.
