Below 100

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Below 100 is a national officer safety campaign aimed at reducing law enforcement deaths to below 100 in a calendar year.  The course is an intensive 4 hour block that covers 5 simple tenants, Watch your speed, Wear your Belt, Wear your vest, W.I.N. (What’s important now) and Complacency kills.  Police Officers are continuing to be killed every year due to incidents that were preventable.  More than half of these deaths are the result of crashes that were contributed to excessive speed and lack of seat belt usage.  Below 100 is a strong and growing movement that believes that through this short but intensive training, we can prevent some of these incidents, which would bring our yearly death toll to fewer than 100.  This has not been accomplished since 1944.  Below 100 isn’t about statistics - It’s about each and every trainer, officer, and supervisor taking individual and collective responsibility for the decisions and actions that contribute to officer and public safety.
