PCO priority one scenario class, dodging the bullet
Course Description: This course is designed to enhance the PCOs telephone, dispatch, and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) skills while taking high priority incidents. PCOs will become familiar with proper call taking and dispatch techniques by participating in simulated scenarios involving high stress calls. Class participation is required.
Instructional Hours: 2 Days/16 Hours
Instructional Objectives: After completion, the student will be able to:
1. Be familiar with the proper call processing techniques.
2. Effectively gather pertinent information during call taking.
3. Be familiar with the proper radio techniques and broadcast procedures.
4. More effectively enter accurate information and details into the CAD System.
Additional Information: Students required to bring along six valid addresses in their area.
