Pennsylvania National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Training
Course Description: This
course is designed to have participants learn the offense definitions, business
rules, and reporting policies for reporting Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR)
National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) data and state-specific
incident-based data to the Pennsylvania Uniform Crime Reporting System
(PAUCRS). This course will include data
entry work within the PAUCRS website, as well as cover how to upload data to

Instructional Objectives: At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
identify, classify, and score reportable offenses in each incident.

report Property information.
report Victim/Offender information.
report Hate Crime and Cargo Theft Data.
report Use of Force and Law Enforcement Officers Killed or Assaulted (LEOKA)
report Human Trafficking and Runaway Data.
report Law Enforcement Officer Employment Data.
report all PA-specific data.
how their Records Management Software (RMS) interfaces with the state site.
files and incidents to the PAUCRS site.
and correct errors in their submitted data via the PAUCRS website.

advanced ad-hoc reports that are specific to each attendees’ department’s
operational or administrative needs.
