WRITTEN COMMUNICATION

 

Course Description: This course is open to all Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) personnel. It is designed to give participants an opportunity to evaluate and enhance their own writing style and skill. The major focus will be on planning and organizing written communication for greater impact. Modules on correcting common grammar and punctuation errors and editing writing samples are also included.

Instructional Hours: 1 Day/7.5 Hours

Instructional Objectives:  After completion, the student will be able to:

  •  Plan their writing.
  •  Organize their writing for greatest impact.
  •  Use correct grammar and punctuation.
  •  Successfully edit their own writing.
  •  Write with more clarity, brevity, and impact.

Audience: PSP; Civilian
