PUBLIC SAFETY

Click it or Ticket: The national "Click It or Ticket" campaign occurs May 14 - June 3rd, 2018. The Department will be conducting high visibility enforcement and, as part of this campaign, Department members certified as Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians will be conducting free car seat fitting stations. At these fitting stations, caregivers can have their car seats checked for suitability and can receive instruction in the proper installation of car seats and harnessing of children in those seats.

Ensign John R. Elliott Human Education Resource Officer (HERO) Campaign for Designated Drivers - The PSP is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) to promote the Ensign John R. Elliott Human Education Resource Officer (HERO) Campaign for Designated Drivers. The HERO Campaign is designed to prevent drunk driving fatalities, injuries, and crashes nationwide by reminding the public to drive sober.
Community Services Officers and Public Information Officers are available to make presentations on a wide variety of topics to your company, school, or community group. Their goal is to inform the public about crime awareness and public safety.
