Impact of COVID-19 on PSP Staffing
The Pennsylvania State Police works closely with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to determine when it is appropriate to place a trooper under quarantine after a suspected exposure to COVID-19. The decision whether to test department personnel for COVID-19 is made by each individual's health care provider. Guidance on testing from the Pennsylvania Department of Health is available here.
Pennsylvanians can be confident that the Pennsylvania State Police has the plans, personnel, and resources in place to maintain essential services during the ongoing pandemic. The department will also continue to support municipal police departments in maintaining critical public safety services in their communities.
