CRASH AND CRIME SCENE EVIDENCE WORKSHOP
Course Description: This is a 5 day course designed to provide the student with the basic skills of both processing and collecting physical evidence that may be found at crime or crash scenes including but not limited to preserving scenes through photographic evidence, fingerprint and impression evidence, trace evidence and submitting evidence to the Crime Laboratory.
Additional Information: Students will be required to complete a basic photography workshop and evidence processing workshop during the week, culminating in processing a crime scene during a scenario at the end of the class.
Students should bring the following: digital camera, USB sync cord for digital camera, macro lenses or close-up adapters, tripod, flash, sync cord (if available) along with any other accessory photographic equipment available, crime scene processing equipment, and fingerprint processing supplies.
Students should dress in appropriate casual attire that would be suitable for this type of hands-on training. Class size will be limited to ensure that every student will have adequate time given for the practical exercise portions of the class.
