Course Description: This course will focus on a number of DUI topics including information on Pennsylvania alcohol-related crash facts and statistics, Pennsylvania’s law enforcement DUI arrest data, case law, driving while under the influence of controlled substances, impaired operator visual clues, and mobile video recording as it relates to DUI Enforcement.
Instructional Hours: 1 Day/8 Hours
Instructional Objectives: After completion, the student will be able to:
- Understand current statistical data regarding DUI related injuries and fatalities.
- Explain law enforcement's role in general DUI detection, including detection phases, cues, and techniques.
- Understand the current DUI case law and legal environment.
Course Completion Requirements: Attendance and successful completion of a 10-question knowledge check.
