White Supremacist Activity in the US/Recognizing and Investigating Hate Crimes

Course Description:  This one-day lecture gives officers a look into the current white supremacist activity in the United States and assists them with recognizing and investigating hate crimes.  The first half of this lecture will focus on America's major white supremacist groups and the threat they pose to officer and public safety.  The second half of this lecture will help officers in knowing when they are dealing with a hate crime.  This session helps federal, state, and local law enforcement officers recognize hate crimes and understand their unique nature and community impact. 

This lecture is being presented by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).  The ADL is the country's most respected private authority on extremism, terrorism and hate crimes, and the leading nongovernmental trainer of American law enforcement on topics ranging from fighting extremism to building relationships with the communities they serve.
