​Basic Financial Investigators Training (BFIT)

 

Course Description:  This two-day course includes topics such as Financial Crimes and Casinos; Funnel Accounts; Third Party Money Laundering; Pre-paid Cards; Crypto-Currencies and online takeovers and Bulk Cash Smuggling.  This course is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Police and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  Instructors will be from the Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) Illicit Finance and Proceeds of Crime Unit.   
 
Instructional Hours:  2 Days / 16 Hours

Instructional Objectives:  Upon completion of this course, the student will possess basic knowledge and skills required to investigate a multitude of financial crimes.  The trainee will also know resources available to him/her when investigation these types of crimes.
