Office of Community Engagement
The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) interacts with citizens and organizations. This collaboration can help identify and problem-solve local challenges. This can increase the safety of residents, visitors, and law enforcement. Outreach efforts include every segment of our communities, including people of:
- diverse faiths
- races
- ethnicities
- socio-economic backgrounds
- cultural traditions
- gender
- sexual orientations
OCE contains the Community Affairs Section, and the Heritage Affairs Section.
Community Affairs Section
The Community Affairs Section works with:
- community leaders
- non-profits
- legislators
- other law enforcement agencies
We build positive, proactive relationships with residents and visitors of Pennsylvania. Community Affairs Officers (CAOs) develop these relationships within underserved communities across the Commonwealth. They work with minority groups, mental health advocacy groups, and those in need. CAOs also focus on educating the public about the role of law enforcement. The result is stronger relationships and increased trust. CAOs can be reached at the phone numbers below or via email at
ra-spoce@pa.gov. Ideas for improving relations between your community and law enforcement are always welcome.
