Compliment Procedures
Any Compliment concerning Pennsylvania State Police personnel (enlisted or civilian) may be sent directly to the Pennsylvania State Police Station where the member/employee is assigned. Please mark all correspondence to the attention of the Station Commander.
Complaint Procedures
If your complaint involves another Commonwealth agency, you must contact that agency directly. The Pennsylvania State Police, Internal Affairs Division investigates alleged misconduct of
Pennsylvania State Police personnel only.
The Pennsylvania State Police Internal Affairs Division (IAD) will thoroughly evaluate all reports of personnel (enlisted or civilian) misconduct. Anyone who files a complaint will be treated with respect.
Use any of the following methods:
In Person: Complaints can be filed at any
PSP installation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Letters must be original (no copies) and contain an original signature.
By Phone: The Internal Affairs Division may be contacted by calling their Toll-Free Line at 866-426-9164 to speak with a representative during normal business hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. During holidays and non-business hours, please leave a message including your name, address and phone number, and you will receive a return call the next business day.

Please visit this page to fill out and submit an online Complaint Verification Form.
By Mail: Download, complete, and mail in the
Complaint Verification Form. Please fill in blocks 1 through 5 and submit the original with an original signature. Copies will not be accepted. It is suggested that you keep a copy for your own records. Upon completion, the Complaint Verification Forms may be mailed to:
